The third day shall commence with a sumptuous breakfast which shall be followed by dress rehearsals for Mehndi and Sangeet ceremony in order to avoid last minute hassles. The breakfast shall be served to all the guests in a common hall from where the final rituals and celebrations shall begin. The first ritual shall be the Haldi ceremony in which a mixture of turmeric and mustard oil is put on bride’s body to pamper her skin making her look more beautiful for her big fat Indian wedding.
Next in the scheme of customs lies the Chura ceremony. Followed by an offering to the deity the bride is gifted a set of red bangles by her maternal uncle to be worn for the wedding.
